FAQs for beginners
I'm not very flexible. Can I do yoga?
Not only you can but you should. Stretching improves your posture and makes your joints healthier. It reduces pain in general, especially back pain. If you’re not flexible when you start, you’ll see improvements even faster. But remember that yoga is not only flexibility, you’ll work your strength, balance and breathing as well.
What should I wear to a yoga class?
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. You should also remove your shoes and any heavy jewellery before you start.
Do I need to bring anything to the classes?
I can't provide mats at the moment so you'll need to bring your own. I'm happy to recommend some places where you can get one :)
How long before yoga can I eat?
You shouldn’t eat right before doing yoga. You can have a light snack one hour before. If you had a main meal, the ideal is to wait at least two hours before practising yoga. Make sure you’re hydrated and healthy before the session.
